An investment and trading expert, Jon Queen handles capital markets transactions and alternative investments across a vast range of asset classes. Mr. Queen is a highly trained finance and law professional, having both front and back office investment experience. He obtained his degree in Economics from Cornell University, graduating with honors, and received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. He completed the Cross-Disciplinary Program and Business and Public Policy studies at The Wharton School and secured his MBA from the Kyiv School of Economics.
Jon Queen is presently a part of Amatex Capital, a Ukraine-centered private equity firm pursuing special situations and arbitrage opportunities through an American strategy technique of “activist investing,” which utilizes superior management technology and new capital to reach high values for the assets wherein they invest. Although not limited to asset classes or segments, the company do place emphasis on the sectors of oil and gas production, agriculture, production of value-added products, retail, and commercial real estate.
With Jon Queen on board Amatex, the company has entered a partnership with Texas Shale Oil International Corporation to build opportunities in Ukraine and Europe that offer critical value enhancement to their business platform.
